ADT Toolbox by CADlogic Limited

If, like me, you are an ADT 2006 user, you will know how complicated it can be to get the correct wall styles, window style and stair style etc, navigating around the styles manager, setting up the components and materials is time consuming and a little tricky for the first few times, ok if you are used to programming in visual basics, although once set, they are ready to use on the next project. I just felt that the interface could be a lot easier to use, after looking at CADlogics website I was interested in trying out their ADT toolbox software which I downloaded on a free trial period for 14 days, once loaded I found it to be quick and easy, the wall style dialog box (screen shot below) makes it so much faster to use than the normal AutoCAD method although you loose out on the materials programmed into the normal AutoCAD wall styles for pretty brickwork, you can always modify it later, other useful fly out menus include steelwork details, stair details which include current UK building regulations for the different class of building , section details and the ability to modify most of the component in situ.
A single user license is a little expensive at £395 plus VAT and postage, I have since brought a copy and use it daily, it has streamlined the process for me saving both time and money. You can also download a free easy to use 2D cad system just follow the link
